Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 30 June -

No.2 Sand, three quarter pace:

Astrid (Fawcett) and Chadsdale (Miller) prepared for their Hastings assignments on Saturday, working over 1000 metres in 1.13.0, last 600 in 41.0. Another heading to Hastings Herschal (K. Jones ) worked with Te Rapa entrant Opulent (Leveque) over 1000 metres in 1.12.5, last 600 in 41.5.

Last start Te Aroha winner Esprit De Corps (Leveque) enjoyed his work over 1000 metres in 1.10, final 600 in 40.1.

Niamh Elizabeth (Lammas) covered 1000 metres in 1.15, last 600 in 45. Following Rotorua's abandonment, she will now head to Matamata next Wednesday for the Maiden 1400 metre race.

All-weather track:

Both Maestro and Skyscraper rounded out their preparations for their respective maiden hurdles races on Saturday at Hastings by working individually over 2000 metres. Maestro (Fawcett) covered his last 1200 metres in 1.20, 600 in 40 and Skyscraper (Price) was not timed.
