Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 11 August -
No. 2 Sand:
Silverdale (Shailer) worked over 800 metres in 1.01, last 600 in 45.1. The now 7YO gelding heads to Te Teko trials on 25 August.
Lady Painton (M. Grylls) ran 800 metres solo in 57, 600 in 41.
3g Savabeel - Pins On Ice (Cameron) was paired with 3g Alamosa - Fidelitas (Pinn) over 800 metres in 1.00, running last 600 in 42.
Tiffany's Time (Lowry) and recent Te Teko trial winner Corporate Missile (Fawcett) worked over 1000 metres at three-quarter pace. They ran their last 800 in 57.8, 600 in 43.2.
3g Red Giant - Celtic Class (Fawcett) and 3g Pins - Santangelo (Leveque) covered 800 metres in 55, last 600 in 41. 3g O'Reilly - Ethics (K. Price) and Epic Tale (Hillis) also ran 800 metres in 57.3, 600 in 41.4.
Shocking Luck (Cameron) was partnered together with Amperage (Lammas) over 800 metres, they covered the ground in 54.7, last 600 in 39.4. Both gallopers are on target to trial in a fortnight at Te Teko.
Exceed and Excel mare Affinee (R. Jones) and Savabeel filly Stolen Love (Fawcett) worked together over 800 metres in 57.2, last 600 in 40.5.
O'Naturelle (M. Grylls) worked on her own over 1000 metres in 1.16, last 600 in 44.9. The impressive trial winner at Te Teko will make her race day debut at Taupo on Friday 19 August.
Echezeaux (Leveque) worked over 800 metres in 54.5, 600 in 40.3.
Avondale prospect Cabaret (Lammas) ran 1000 metres in 1.10.4, last 600 in 41.3. She will run in the Rating 65 1200 metres on Wednesday 17 August.
Group One winning colt Heroic Valour (Cameron) worked stylishly over 800 metres in 1.01.6, last 600 in 45.4.
Coolmore owned Love Triangle (Cameron) covered 1000 metres in 1.15, last 600 in 45.5. She will kick off her four-year-old campaign at Taupo next Friday 19 August in a Rating 65 event.
Leonessa (Lammas) alongside Primrose (Fawcett) worked over 800 metres in 57, last 600 in 42. Both fillies are on track to begin their preparations at Te Teko trials on 25 August.
Madam Jamai (Leveque) worked an easy 800 metres on her own in 56.4, 600 in 41.6.
Course proper:
A trio of two-year-olds had a jump out from the race day barriers. It consisted of Gold Fever (Lammas), Swing Note (Cameron), 2g Darci Brahma - Rihanna (M. Grylls) and 2g Burgundy - La Conga (Fawcett). All four horses head to the Te Teko trials on 25 August.
