Yesterday I shared details on our website with you about the latest filly we are selling shares in.
Lot 194 from the Karaka Premier Sale is a filly I purchased from James Chapman's Jamieson Park for $170,000 +GST. She was a must-have filly that we were prepared to pay considerably more money than $170,000 for!
My comments on her in my catalogue were:
"Good size and scope - will develop into a stunning filly - really good type of filly with plenty of class".

This filly appealed to me before I even saw her! her first three dams are by Zabeel, Centaine and Mill Reef. Her sire Pour Moi is by Montjeu, who is by Sadler's Wells, who is by Northern Dancer. Pedigrees don't get any better than this do when Joe Walls and I went to inspect her, I was already very keen by what I had seen on paper.
I can't get enough of yearlings out of Zabeel mares - it is a proven recipe. When I read the ANZ Bloodstock news this morning I can see why, it is no wonder!
Zabeel is the leading broodmare sire in the Southern Hemisphere this season - yes ahead of Danehill. So far this season, Zabeel mares have had 358 runners who have won 192 races including 16 stakes' races and $8.6 million in prize money. As a broodmare sire, he has left 28 Group 1 winners.
Unbelievable statistics!
If you want to be involved in a truly top class filly, you will need to ring me today or email Karyn - [email protected] because what is not sold in her, Karyn and I are going to keep!!!
I see this filly being ready to race this time next year in a race like the Group 2 Matamata Breeders' Stakes who will then head to the Group 1 NZ 1000 Guineas as a three year old and then look out - here comes the Group 1 NZ Oaks!!
Don't say I haven't tipped you into a really good filly!
