Te Akau Thursday Update

David writes:

There was lots of good news today, especially seeing our two year olds win the only two 2YO trial heats at Rotorua today.

The first win came with a Burgundy colt called Sophisticardo that I purchased from Karaka for just $30,000. The second was a A$600,000 colt I bought from the Magic Millions' sale in January this year. Named Sword of State, he is part of our 2020 Colt Syndicate.

SWORD OF STATE

The feedback from riders Danielle Johnson on Sophisticardo and our stable jockey Opie Bosson aboard Sword of State was very encouraging indeed.

All of our horses trialled well today and we know our first win of the season won't be far away!

The other excellent news today was that 'RaceForm' was published and hit my mailbox this morning.

Congratulations to Don Hancock, Dennis Ryan, Liz Whelan and the small bit dedicated team behind RaceForm, as the latest issue was distributed today for the first time in four months.

It is an absolutely unbelievable publication, and I know that a lot of hard work was carried out behind the scenes to get this publication back up and running.

On behalf of Te Akau Racing, we would like to congratulate everyone involved, from the TAB to NZTR for their support in helping ensure the return of RaceForm, especially in time for the beginning of our new season.

Te Akau is proud to sponsor Raceform and we urge you to subscribe so you receive your copy directly every week.

It is essential for our industry from now and into the future that we have a weekly publication with stories, information and the race form.

Congratulations to everyone involved!
