Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Friday 7 October at Timaru.

2:05 p.m. R4 4 Aris Aris (4 m Contributer - Irish Encore) - Samantha Wynne; ended her previous campaign finishing second to the impressive Te Akau winner Synchronize (Savabeel) in the 3YO 1400 metres on 14 May at Rotorua, and was narrowly beaten in a battle with stable-mate Challa (Dissident) when resuming in the Rating 75 1100 metres on 16 September at Taupo. Twice a winner on soft tracks, she does strike heavier going, but rates a top three chance in the $14,000 Rating 75 1200 metres - one of a Te Akau duo lining up in the event.

2:05 p.m. R4 7 Irish Red (4 m Burgundy - Niamh Elizabeth) - Sanu Toolooa (a3); resumed with a victory in the Rating 65 1200 metres on 25 August at Riccarton (poly-track), and has been given time (34 days) since backing up there in a Rating 75 1200 metres. Stakes' placed three times, she has weight relief to 52kg and also looks a top three prospect in the $14,000 Rating 75 1200 metres.
