Te Akau Timaru Midweek Preview

Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Wednesday 25 September at Timaru.

12:34 p.m. R2 2 Donna Chiara (3 f Belardo – Bellabaci) – Wiremu Pinn; she found the line solidly for second when resuming in the Maiden 1200 metres on 29 August at Riccarton (poly-track), also with Pinn aboard on that occasion, and contests the $18,500 Maiden 3YO 1200 metres. The blinkers are on, and despite her wide gate (11) she is a talented filly who can certainly feature in the top three. Fixed odds: $3.30 & $1.60. 

1:42 p.m. R4 2 Bello Mio (5 g Deep Field – Bella Francesca) – Wiremu Pinn; he resumed with a good effort from beyond midfield in the Rating 65 1000 metres on 31 August at Riccarton, and contests the $18,500 Rating 65 1200 metres. He is suited to the increased distance and is a two-time that has placed to 1400 metres. He also rates a top three chance from barrier seven. Fixed odds: $4.80 & $2.00.
