11:40 a.m. R1 4 Sailing Away (3 g Merchant Navy – Anchovy) – Niranjan Parmar (a1); tailed field, as expected, in the 3YO 1200 metres on 31 May at Riccarton (poly track), and steps up in the $17,000 Rating 65 1600 metres. He finished solidly for third in the Rating 65 1600 metres on 4 May at Riccarton, placed here at only start, and rates a top four chance with decent trip from barrier 10. Fixed odds: $4.20 & $1.80.
12:53 p.m. R3 1 Angels Wings (4 m Heroic Valour – Gowana) – Niranjan Parmar (a1); did very well from outside gate (14) for third in the Rating 65 1200 metres on 16 May at Riccarton (poly track), and contests the $17,000 Entain-NZB Insurance Pearl Series Rating 65 Fillies & Mares 1200 metres. She produced notable effort in the Rating 75 1200 metres on 4 May at Riccarton, and rates a top three chance. Fixed odds: $5.00 & $2.00.
12:53 p.m. R3 2 French Rose (4 m Burgundy – Paraiba) – Ashvin Goindasamy; was unable to quicken in the Rating 65 1200 metres on 16 May at Riccarton (poly track), and contests the $17,000 Entain/NZB Insurance Pearl Series Rating 65 Fillies & Mares 1200 metres (eligible $26,000 bonuses). She sustained finish to win the Rating 65 1200 metres here on 4 May, and opportunity to bounce back with decent trip from barrier 10. Fixed odds: $8.00 & $2.70.
1:26 p.m. R4 4 Caravella (4 m Caravaggio – Highland Lights) – Warren Kennedy; recorded fourth victory this season with big finish in the Open Handicap 1200 metres on 16 May at Riccarton (poly track), and contests the $22,000 Rating 84 1200 metres. Going well, she rates a top three chance. Fixed odds: $3.40 & $1.60.
2:35 p.m. R6 1 Treaty of Paris (4 g Tavistock – Echezeaux) – Warren Kennedy; travelled sweetly in front when winning the Rating 75 2200 metres on 16 May at Riccarton (poly track), with Kennedy aboard, and up 4kg to carry 59kg in the $17,000 Rating 75 2200 metres. Obvious increase in weight, but brings winning form and rates a top three chance. Fixed odds: $3.10 & $1.50.
3:45 p.m. R8 2 Aotea Lad (7 g Savabeel – Corsage) – Niranjan Parmar (a1); fought solidly under big weight (62kg) in the Rating 75 1400 metres on 16 May at Riccarton (poly track), and contests the $30,000 Rating 85 1600 metres. Genuine competitor, footing should suit, and capable of bold showing. Fixed odds: $5.00 & $1.85.
