Te Akau track work highlights - Thursday 12 February -

Plough:

In his final piece of work before the Avondale Guineas (Gr. 2, 2100m) on Saturday at Ellerslie, Rockfast (Hercock) worked over 1400 metres at three-quarter pace. Trainer Jason Bridgman feels the Fastnet Rock (Danehill) colt is good in his action and looks forward to him stepping up in distance for the first time.

Seline (Hercock) and Zarules (Zac-Syed) worked together over 1400m in 1:32.9, 1000m in 1:04.2 and last 600m in 37.1

Darci's Dream (Hercock) went 800m in 57.1, last 600m in 39.7. No Tricks (Lammas) covered 800m in 55.4, last 600m in 40.1. Both Darci's Dream (Darci Brahma) and No Tricks (Savabeel) are eyeing the Mr Tiz Trophy (Gr. 3, 1200m) on Derby Day, 28 February at Ellerslie.

Duran (Zac-Syed) and Hushed (Hercock) ran 800m in 54.1, last 600m in 39.3.

Gearing up for the Matamata Slipper (Listed, 1200m) next Saturday 21 February at Matamata, Unsurpassed (Lammas) galloped over 800m in 56.6, last 600m in 40.4.
Auriol (Hercock) and Portia (Lammas) worked together over 800m in 51.9, last 600m in 37.3.

 Three-quarter pace on the plough:

Osmunda (Roff) 1000m, Arpeggio (Roff) 800m, Equanimity (Samuelsson) 800m, Sunset Pass (Gerard) 1000m.

Plough:

Contesting the Rating 65 1600 metres on Friday at Te Aroha, Tiara (Hercock) followed her pace work with a final 600m in 41.

Preparing to resume in the Rating 85 1200 metres on Saturday at Ellerslie, Angelica Hall (Lammas) galloped 800m in 52.2, last 600m 36.4.

Amperage (Hercock) and Scrutinize (Lammas) worked together over 800m in 57, last 600m in 41.5.

Princess Davone (Hercock) and Red Poppy (Lammas) worked together over 800m in 1:01.5, last 600m in 43.1.
