Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Saturday 28 September: New Plymouth and Rosehill Gardens, Sydney.









New Plymouth:





Weather: showery, track: Heavy10, rail: true. Showers forecast Friday, no rain Saturday.





1.44 p.m. R3 7 Burgundy Belle (4 m Burgundy - Spin ‘N Grin) - Jonathan Riddell; unwound a terrific finishing burst to win the Rating 72 1300 metres on 31 August at Hastings, and steps in grade for the $30,000 NZB Insurance Pearl Series Rating 82 1400 metres (eligible $20,000 bonus). The winner of four from eight and three thirds, including a winning debut on Heavy10 at her only course attempt, she has the form to rate an each way chance if appreciative of conditions. Fixed odds: $3.40 & $1.60.






Rosehill:





Weather: fine, track: Good4, rail: true. No rain forecast.





4.15 p.m. (NZ time) R4 6 Avantage(4 m Fastnet Rock - Asavant) - Kerrin McEvoy; was courageous off a tough trip when finishing second fresh-up in the Open 1200 metres on 31 August at Ruakaka, before an eighth in the Bill Ritchie Cup (Gr. 3, 1400m) last Saturday at Randwick. She won the Birthday Card Stakes (Gr. 3, 1200m) here in April and gets a chance to bounce back, given a quieter trip from the outside gate (8) in the $200,000 Tooheys 150thBirthday Shannon Stakes (Gr. 2, 1500m). Fixed odds: $5.50 & $1.80 NZ TAB.
