Te Akau Racing has three horses entered on Saturday 1 June at Pukekohe, New Zealand and Caulfield (Melbourne).?

Weather: overcast, track: Heavy10, rail: out 4 metres. No rain forecast.

12:53 p.m. R1 1 Pokuru Gold (3 g Darci Brahma – Pokuru Nugget) – Opie Bosson; he drew out to score easily by two and a half lengths when resuming on Heavy8 footing in the 3YO 1100 metres on 18 May at Te Rapa, also with Bosson aboard, and contests the $40,000 3YO 1200 metres. He is now two from two, after racing away to win on debut earlier this season, is from good family, and warrants favouritism again. Fixed odds: $1.50 & $1.05.

Weather: overcast, track: Good4, rail: out 9 metres. No rain forecast.

3:35 p.m. (NZ) ~ 1:35 p.m. (Vic) R4 8 I Choose You (4 m I Am Invincible – Choose) – Damian Lane; she worked up from barrier one to co-lead and lifted strongly for third in the Benchmark 78 1000 metres for Fillies & Mares on 15 May at Sandown, also with Lane aboard. Contesting the A$130,000 Benchmark 78 1100 metres for Fillies & Mares, she resumed with a track record (1:01.6) victory in the Rating 75 1100 metres on 9 March at Trentham, is multiple-times stakes’ placed, and brings the right form to race well - but she will need a good deal of luck from her wide draw (12). NZ TAB fixed odds: $12.00 & $3.40.

6:35 p.m. (NZ) ~ 4:35 p.m. (Vic) R9 11 Savoir Faire (4 g Savabeel – Etiquette) – Celine Gaudray (a1.5); he overcame the outside draw (16) to impressively win the Benchmark 78 2000 metres here on 11 May, likewise with Gaudray aboard, and contests the A$130,000 Benchmark 84 2000 metres. In nicely at the weights (55.5kg), he has drawn the ace, and an emulation of his previous effort would see him pose a top three contender. NZ TAB Fixed odds: $8.50 & $3.00.
