Te Akau Racing has one horse entered on Sunday 14 September at Te Rapa, Hamilton, New Zealand and one horse entered at Sale, Victoria.

3:10 p.m. R5 2 Accidental Tourist (5 g Telperion – Megara) – Hayley Hassman (a3); he kept giving to finish third in a trial on 17 August at Taupo, but was unable to lift in testing conditions when resuming in the Rating 75 1150 metres on 31 August at Te Aroha. Contesting the $40,000 Rating 75 1400 metres, he has the plus of weight relief to 58kg. He has recorded two wins from three starts at this distance, and raced well on course previously but he does meets tough field. Fixed odds: $23.00 & $5.50.

5:15 p.m. (NZ) ~ 3:15 p.m. (Vic) R5 2 Cinturato (3 g Shamus Award – Pirellina) – Michael Dee; he ran on well for third after trailing when debuting in the Maiden 1100 metres on 17 August at Sale, also with Dee aboard, and contests the $42,500 Maiden 3YO 1411 metres. By Australian Champion Three-Year-Old Shamus Award (Snitzel), the first three-year-old to win the Group 1 Cox Plate and Group 1 Australian Guineas double. His dam Pirellina (Gio Ponti) won twice over 1600 metres, and she in turn is out of Group 1 Doomben Cup winner Cinque Cento (Nothin’ Leica Dane). His breeding suggests he will be suited to the increased distance. NZ TAB fixed odds: $6.50 & $2.20.
