Te Akau New Zealand has two horses racing on Saturday 12 January at Trentham.

As on Friday 11 January the conditions were: overcast and Dead4, rail true. No rain forecast.

12.47 p.m. R1 4 Louis Luck (2 g Dissident - My Option) - Opie Bosson; debuts from barrier one in the $30,000 2YO 1200 metres, after trialling well for two seconds in November. The first foal from a dual Group Three winner of five races from 1200m to 1800m, including two as a two-year-old, in the U.S.A, his sire, Australian Horse of the Year Dissident (Sebring), won five Group One races to 1600 metres and known for his tough qualities.

3.42 p.m. R6 1 Chance to Dance (9 g Teofilo - Crystal Ballet) - Opie Bosson; resumed with a determined front running effort for third in the Bulls Country Cup (Open, 1600m) in November at Awapuni, and followed with a solid fourth in the Open 1600 metres on 22 December at Te Rapa. The winner of seven races from 2000m - 2400m, he appears ideally placed carrying 56kgs to rate a top three chance in the $70,000 Barneswood Farm Trentham Stakes (Gr. 3, 2100m). Fixed odds: $2.50 & $1.26.
