Te Akau Racing has two horses entered on Sunday 1 March at Trentham.

1:42 p.m. R2 6 Charmrose (5 m Charm Spirit – Sovereign Rose) – Rory Hutchings; she was just claimed on the line (neck) after leading in the Rating 75 1200 metres on 2 January at Tauranga, has been patiently handled being given time (57 days), and contests the $40,000 Rating 75 1100 metres. She has recorded three wins to 1200 metres, has been a winner in this grade, puts herself in every race and rates a top three chance from barrier two. Fixed odds: $5.50 & $1.70.

4:09 p.m. R6 6 My Lips Are Sealed (5 m Ace High – Tellmeaboutit) – Rory Hutchings; she sustained a strong gallop after leading to win the Listed Lisa Chittick Champagne Stakes (1400m) on 14 February at Matamata, with Hutchings aboard, and contests the $200,000 Group 3 Rydges Wellington Cuddle Stakes (1600m). She has a very good course/distance record, including a dominant win the Group 3 Phar Lap Trophy (1600m) here last season. While she meets a smart field, she brings right form to prove competitive. Fixed odds: $11.00 & $3.30.
