Te Akau Trials' Report

Te Akau trialled horses on Monday July 6 at Cambridge. The footing was rated Slow9, with the rail true.

Heat 3 Open Hurdle 2000 metres (½ a length, 8 lengths 2:11.9)

Sunset Pass (6 g Yamanin Vital - Janet's Chance) - Daniel Miller (main pic and below); jumped well throughout, finishing it off nicely to win and really pleased the rider who rode all four winners at the jumps trials.

Heat 4 Maiden Steeplechase 2700 metres (2 lengths 3.24.1)

4 g Ekraar - Cape Win - Daniel Miller (below); went well in his jumps debut to win and while a work in progress as a young horse to become a steeplechaser he shapes with the potential to make it.
