Enjoy some highlights of Te Akau's trackwork this morning:

Te Akau track work Tuesday May 7

Course proper (Heavy):

Ahead of the premier meeting on Saturday May 11 at Rotorua, Thrive (Cameron) worked in company over 1200 metres in 1:20.5, last 600m in 40.8. It was very good work in testing conditions as she prepares to resume in the Rotorua Stakes (Listed, 1400m), a weight-for-age event for fillies and mares.

Entered for the 3YO 1400 metres at the same meeting, last start winners Clos De Tart (Stack) and Milan Miss (Cameron), who won at Rotorua, hit the line nicely after coming from the 1200 metres in 1:25.9, last 600m in 39.9.

With respective assignments on Monday May 13 at Paeroa, Prospero (McKay) and Sunset Pass (Miller) set off from the winning post and in good staying work covered the 1200 metres in 1:25.4, last 600m in 40.

Sand track:

Possible starters on Thursday May 9 at Woodville, Bronte Lass (Miller) and the debutante O'Darci (Cameron) worked at three-quarter pace from the 800 metres in 57, quickening the final 600m in 40.
