Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 3 November - Melbourne Cup Day -
Plough:
Echezeaux (Lammas) and Sir Darci (Hercock) ran 1000m in 1:03.2, last 600m in 35.2, which was a good gallop.
Tavis Star (Hercock) and Thetruthisoutthere (K. Jones) covered 1200m in 1:19.7, last 600m in 36.2.
Babilloni (Hercock) and Bordeaux (K. Jones) ran 1200m in 1:17.2, last 600m in 35.7, which was good work by both.
Hysteria Lane (Lammas) and Our Abbadean (K. Jones) ran 1000m in 1:03.3, last 600m 35.8, both working very well.
Star of Greenbeel (Lammas) ran 1200m in 1:21, last 600m in 37.3 while Chadsdale (Shailer) went 1000m in 58, last 600m in 43.
Lady Pinot (Hercock) went an easy 1000m in 1:06.5, last 600m in 39.
Plough, three-quarter pace:
Sequitur (K. Jones) 1200m, 2 f Alamosa - Falaniella (Price) and 2 f Showcasing - Something Majic (K. Jones) went together over 600m.
2 f Jimmy Choux - Love Me Not (K. Jones) and 2 f Redwood - Volks Princess (Hercock) ran an easy 600m in 39.3.
Riccarton:
Plough:
Bishop Rock (Ritchie) and Xtravagant (Miller) worked together over 1200m. They ran the 1000m in 1:02, last 600m in 35.5. Both colts worked well in their final gallop before the 2000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) on Saturday at Riccarton.
Madame Jamai (Miller) worked solo over 800m in 49, last 600m in 36. Windborne (Miller) also went solo in similar work. Windborne is preparing for the Pegasus Stakes (Listed, 1000m) and Madame Jamai the Rating 75 1100 metres on Saturday.
Nominated for the Rating 85 2000 metres on Saturday Vive La Difference (Miller) worked over a mile. She ran 1400m in 1:29, last 600m in 35.5, with blinkers on.
