Te Akau track work highlights Tuesday 17 November -

Course proper (Dead):

Our Drahma Queen (Lammas - below left) and Spritz (R. Jones - below right) ran 1000m in 1:08.5, last 600m in 39. The pair race on Friday at New Plymouth: Our Drahma Queen (Darci Brahma) in the Maiden 1400 metres and Spritz (Thorn Park) in the Maiden 3YO 1400 metres. Both will be ridden by Matt Cameron.

Sand track:

Echezeaux (Hercock - main picture) and Red Poppy (Zac-Syed) went 1000m in 1:05, and quickened over the 600m in 35.6. Echezeaux (Encosta De Lago) races on Sunday in the Maiden 1600 metres at Te Rapa, and Red Poppy (Iffraaj) debuts in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres at the same meeting.

Resuming in the Rating 65 1200 metres on Sunday at Te Rapa, debut winner Shillelagh (Lammas) worked with Sir Darci (Zac-Syed) over 1000m in 1:04.6 and last 600m in 37.3. Sir Darci (Darci Brahma) contests the Rating 75 1400 metres on Saturday at Awapuni.

Bordeaux (K. Jones) and Herschal (Hercock) worked well over 1000m in 1:02, last 600m in 35.9. Fresh up winner Bordeaux (High Chaparral) races on Friday in the Rating 65 1800 metres at New Plymouth, and Herschal (Savabeel) makes his debut in the Maiden 3YO 1200 metres on Sunday at Te Rapa.

Preparing for the Rating 85 2200 metres on Saturday at Avondale, Ekraarstatic (Lammas - below right) and Hushed (A. Collett - below left) worked from the 1600m. They clocked the 1000m in 1:03, last 600m in 37. Hushed (Don Eduardo) has been nominated to race on Friday in the Maiden 1800 metres at New Plymouth.

Star of Greenbeel (Lammas) worked over 1200m. He ran the 1000m in 1:05, last 600m in 38, ahead of the Rating 65 1600 metres on Sunday at Cambridge.

Bon Marche (K. Jones) and Maestro (Hercock) worked over 1200m. They ran the 1000m in 1:08, last 600m in 38.6. Maestro (Encosta De Lago) has been nominated to resume in the Rating 65 1400 metres on Friday at New Plymouth, and Bon Marche (Nom Du Jeu) the Maiden 1600 metres on Sunday at Te Rapa.

Chambord (Hercock) and Love Triangle (K. Jones) worked together over 800m in 53.6, last 600m in 37.8. They were followed by Beacon of Hope (Zac-Syed).

Arpeggio (Lammas) pleased the rider when running 800m in 54.6, last 600m in 37.6.

2 f Alamosa - Falaniella (Vaneckova) and 2 f Mastercraftsman - Lynisky (Fawcett) galloped 600m in 38.6.

Babilloni (K. Jones) and Paradise Rock (Hercock) ran 1000m together in 1:03.5, last 600m in 35.6.

Chadsdale (Shailer) and 3 g Castledale - Elianto (Ritchie) ran 800m in 55.5, last 600m in 39.4.

Epic Tale (Richards) and Sylvia's Special (Fawcett) ran 600m in 37.

Christine Louise (R. Jones) and Gardenier (Hanafi) went 800m in 56.4, last 600m in 40.6.

Hyacinth (Zac-Syed) and 2 f Showcasing - Something Majic (Fawcett) ran 600m in 38, followed by 2 g Saperavi - A La Votre (Hanafi).

Sand track, three-quarter pace:

Point Percy (Shailer) and Scandinavian (Ritchie) went together over 1000m, working to time in 1:16 and 45.5 for the last 600m.
