Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 8 December -

Plough:

Preparing for the Rating 75 2400 metres on Saturday at Te Rapa, Imperium (Cameron) worked over 2000m. He ran the last 1000m in 1:08.

Sir Darci (Cameron) and Wolfwhistle (Lammas) worked together over 1200m. They ran the 1000m in 1:08, last 600m in 38. Wolfwhistle (O'Reilly) contests the Rating 85 1600 metres on Saturday at Te Rapa, and Sir Darci (Darci Brahma) the Rating 75 1600 metres on the same day at Awapuni.

Duchess Kate (Hercock) and Shillelagh (Cameron) galloped 1000m in 1:03, last 600m in 35.5. Shillelagh (Savabeel), a fresh up winner, contests the Rating 75 1400 metres on Saturday at Awapuni, and Duchess Kate (Savabeel) resumes in the Rating 65 1200 metres on Sunday at Ellerslie.

Gardenier (Lammas - below left) and O'Know (Cameron - below right) worked together over 800m in 54, last 600m in 40.

Plough, three-quarter pace:

Arpeggio (Zac-Syed) went 1000m in 1:14, last 600m in 43, in preparation to resume in the Rating 75 1200 metres on Thursday at Hastings. Ahead of the Rating 65 1400 metres at same meeting, Hysteria Lane (Hanafi) went 1000m in 1:11.

Babilloni (Ritchie) and Scandinavian (K. Jones) went 1200m in 1:22.6, last 600m in 38.4. They each race over a mile on Friday at Tauranga.

Tavi's Star (K. Jones) ran 1000m in 1:14.7, last 600m in 44. Chambord (Hercock) did similar work in the 1:15, last 600m in 44.5.

3 f High Chaparral - Star Affair (Hercock) worked over 800m, last 600m in 44.6. 2 f Mastercraftsman - Lynisky (Fawcett) and 3 f Showcasing - Something Majic (Zac-Syed) went 800m in 57, last 600m in 41.

2 f Medaglia D'oro - Elegant Fashion (Vaneckova) and 2 f Rip Van Winkle - Bak da Princess (Lammas) went over 600m in 43.

All-weather:

Leonessa (Fawcett), 2 g Darci Brahma - Distinctive Lass (Hanafi) and 2 g Darci Brahma - Molly Coco (Hercock) worked as a trio over 600m in 42.

Plough, right-handed:

Scrutinize (Hercock) and Xtravagant (Miller), preparing for an exhibition gallop on Friday at Tauranga, were followed by Bishop Rock (Richards) over 1000m in 1:06.2, last 600m in 37.2. All three travelled very well.
