Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 15 December -

Course proper (Dead4):

Scrutinize (Miller) and Tavis Star (Cameron) ran 1000m in 1:02.7, last 600m in 35.7, both travelling very well. Scrutinize resumes on Saturday in the 3YO 1400 metres at Awapuni, and Tavis Star contests the Rating 75 1600 metres at Te Rapa.

Plough:

Impressive fresh up winner Smashing (K. Jones) prepared for the Rating 75 1200 metres on Saturday at Awapuni. She ran 1000m in 1:06.9, last 600m in 38.4.

Silverdale (Miller) ran 1200m in 1:22, quickening the final 600m in 37.8, ahead of the Open 1600 metres on Saturday at Te Rapa, and was followed in his work by Bordeaux (Cameron). Bordeaux (High Chaparral) contests the Rating 75 2100 metres at Te Rapa, having won both his starts this time in.

Vive La Difference (Gerard) ran 800m in 54, last 600m in 39.

Plough, three-quarter pace:

Our Drahma Queen (Lammas) worked over 1400m. She covered the 1200m in 1:25.8, last 600m in 42.7.

Bounteous (R. Jones) went 1200m. She ran the 1000m in 1:13, last 600m in 40.1.

Red Poppy (Cameron) ran 1000m in 1:10, last 600m in 41.2.

Flaming (K. Jones) ran to time (15 seconds to the furlong) over 800m. She was tracked in her work by Opulent (Cameron).

2 g Iffraaj - Double Elle (Shailer) and 2 c Savabeel - Around the Clock (Ritchie) went together over 600m in 46, in pleasing work.
