Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 22 December -

Course proper (Dead):

Ekraarstatic (Lammas) and Xtravagant (Cameron) worked over 1200 metres in 1:16, last 600m in 36, and each pulled up very well following the gallop. Racing Boxing Day at Ellerslie, Ekraarstatic (Ekraar) contests the Rating 85 2100 metres and race record 2000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) winner Xtravagant (Pentire) resumes in the 3YO 1400 metres.

Plough:

Opulent (K. Jones) and Vive La Difference (Miller) ran 1000m in 1:03.5, last 600m in 36.9, both working through the line on terms. The two stakes performed mares resume on Boxing Day: Opulent (Keeper) in the Rating 75 1400 metres at Awapuni, and Vive La Difference (Choisir) in the Rating 85 1400 metres at Ellerslie.

Resuming on 27 December at New Plymouth, Bishop Rock (Cameron) and Zambezi Warrior (Ritchie) worked over 1000m in 1:03.5, last 600m in 37. Bishop Rock (Fastnet Rock) contests the Rating 65 1400 metres and Zambezi Warrior (Pentire) the Maiden 3YO 1400 metres.

Astrid (Hercock) and Vinevale (Miller) both worked well over 1000m in 1:03, last 600m in 36.2. Astrid (Pins) is nominated for the Rating 75 1400 metres on Boxing Day at Awapuni, and Vinevale (Flying Spur) the NZB Pearl Series 1400 metres on 27 December at Rotorua.

Corporate Missile (K. Jones) and Flaming (Hercock) came from the 800m in 53.8, last 600m 38.8, and both travelled well. Corporate Missile (Smart Missile) makes her debut in the Maiden 2YO 1000 metres on 27 December at New Plymouth, and last start winner Flaming (Bachelor Duke) resumes in the Rating 75 1200 metres on Boxing Day at Ellerslie.

Our Drahma Queen (Lammas) and Maestro (Cameron) worked over 1400m. They ran the 1200m in 1:17 and both are nominated for the Rating 65 1560 metres on 27 December at Rotorua.

Bon Marche (Miller - main picture) worked over ground, ahead of the Maiden 1800 metres on 27 December at New Plymouth, coming the 1200m in 1:21 and last 600m in 37.4.

Thetruthisoutthere (R. Jones) had her ears pricked finishing off 1000m at three-quarter pace.

All-weather track:

2 f Murtajill - Forbetterforworse (Hercock), 2 g O'Reilly - Barbara Ann (Gerard) and 2 f Savabeel - Catalina (Hanafi) worked as a trio over 600m.
