Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 9 February

Plough:

Preparing to race on Saturday at Te Rapa, Xtravagant (Miller) and Chadsdale (McNab) galloped 1200m in 1:14.2, last 600m in 34.6, which was very good work by both horses. Xtravagant (Pentire) contests the weight-for-age $200,000 NRM Sprint (Gr. 1, 1400m) and Chadsdale (Castledale) the $30,000 Rating 65 1400 metres.

Duchess Kate (Lammas) and O'Know (Leveque) produced good work over 1200m in 1:18, last 600m in 35.6. Duchess Kate (Savabeel) steps up for the $100,000 Cambridge Stud Sir Tristram Fillies Classic (Gr. 2, 2000m) on Saturday at Te Rapa. O'Know (O'Reilly) contests the Maiden 3YO 1600 metres next Sunday 14 February at Matamata.

Chambord (Lammas) and Skyscraper (Miller) worked over 1200m in 1:18, last 600m in 36.2. Chambord (Zabeel) races on Saturday in the $30,000 Pohangina Cup (Open, 1400m) at Awapuni. Skyscraper (Manhattan Rain) is aiming towards the Maiden 1600 metres next Sunday at Matamata.

Arpeggio (Leveque) and Opulent (Miller) went 1200m in 1:21.3, last 600m in 37.5. Arpeggio (Tavistock) is preparing for the $30,000 Rating 85 1600 metres at Te Rapa and Opulent (Keeper) the Rating 75 1600 metres next Sunday at Matamata.

Astrid (Coleman) produced nice work over 1000m in 1:02, last 600m in 35.7. Racing very well, Astrid (Pins) contests the $30,000 Rating 75 1400 metres on Saturday at Te Rapa.

Tatters (Leveque) and Thetruthisoutthere (Miller) went 800m in 59, both going well.

Discretely Red (K. Price), Lucy Wyldstyle (Lammas), and 2 f Alamosa - Ensorcelez (Hanafi) worked as a trio over 600m at three-quarter pace.
