Plough:

Gearing up to contest the $100,000 Avondale Guineas (Gr. 2, 2100m) on Saturday at Ellerslie, Bishop Rock (Ritchie) and Zambezi Warrior (McNab) worked over ground. They ran the 1200m in 1:18.2, last 600m in 35.6, which was very good work by both.

Ahead of the $25,000 Rating 85 1200 metres, last start winner Smashing (Miller) covered 1000m in 1:05.

Preparing for the $50,000 3YO Fillies (Listed, 1800m) on Saturday at New Plymouth, stakes placed Special Memories (Miller) worked over ground. She ran the 1200m in 1:20, last 600m in 36.4, working well.

Carmenize (Fawcett) and Herschal (McNab) produced quick work over 1000m in 1:03, last 600m in 34.5.

Amperage (A. Collett) and Silverdale (McNab) ran 1200m in 1:15.5, last 600m in 35.2, which was top work.

Echezeaux (Leveque) and Stella Di Paco (Hanafi) worked over 800m in 51, last 600m in 36.6. Tatters (McNab) and Thetruthisoutthere (Miller) did similar work over 800m in 53 and the last 600m in 38.

Splurge (McNab) ran an easy 800m in 55.6, last 600m in 40.

2 c Savabeel - Pins on Ice (A. Collett) and 2 c Shocking - Breaker Dawn (McNab) galloped 600m in 38, both going well.

2 g Alamosa - Fidelitas (Leveque) and 2 g Pour Moi - Madam Stravinsky (Miller) ran 800m in 54, last 600m in 39.

Plough, three-quarter pace:

Linchpin (Ritchie) went 1000m in 1:14, last 600m in 44.5. Cathedral Cove (Richards) ran 1200m in 1:33, last 600m in 46.

Alrina (Leveque) and Lady Jasmine (Fawcett) ran 800m in 56.7, Abloom (Hanafi) and 2 g Darci Brahma - Sans Souci (Miller) ran 800m in 55.8, 2 f Alamosa - Cavendish Belle (Hanafi) and 2 f Alamosa - Tad Infitnitum (Fawcett) ran 800m in 56.3.

All-weather track:

Discretely Red (Fawcett), Lucy Wyldstyle (Miller) and 2 f Alamosa - Ensorcelez (Hanafi) ran an easy 600m in 39.4.
