Te Akau track work highlights -  Tuesday 8 March -

Course proper at Ellerslie:

Preparing for the $200,000 Sistema Diamond Stakes (Gr. 1, 1200m) Heroic Valour (Riddell) and Sassy ‘N' Smart (Cameron) worked together 15 metres out on the course proper. They ran 1000m in 1:02.4, last 600m in 34.4, both pulling up well.

Plough:

Racing on Saturday at Ellerslie, Chadsdale (Ritchie) and Silverdale (Coleman) ran 1200m in 1:16.6, last 600m in 36.6. Silverdale (Castledale) lines up in the $200,000 Bonecrusher New Zealand Stakes (Gr. 1, 2000m) and last start winner Chadsdale (Castledale) the $50,000 Rating 75 1400 metres.

Preparing for the Open 1600 metres on Saturday at Waverley, Group one placed Chambord (Leveque) worked solo over 1200m in 1:22.2, last 600m in 37.3, going well.

Alert (Ritchie) ran an easy 800m in 54, last 600m in 40.

Tatters (Lammas) and Thetruthisoutthere (K. Jones) ran 1200m in 1:15, last 600m in 42, both working well.

Zambezi Warrior (Ritchie) went 1200m in 1:13, looking good.

Herschal (Lammas) ran an easy 1000m in 1:09.3, last 600m in 40, enjoying his work.

I See Fire (K. Jones) worked pleasingly over an easy 1200m in 1:21.3, last 600m in 38.6.

Abloom (Hanafi) and Zavistic (Ritchie) worked well together over 1000m in 1:08, last 600m in 38.5.

Plough, three-quarter pace:

Beacon of Hope (K. Jones) ran 800m in 1:02, last 600m in 45.

Primrose (Fawcett) and Sylvia's Special (Leveque) went 600m in 44.

Rocksun (Ritchie) and Royal Success (Hillis) ran 800m 1:05, last 600m in 43.7.
