Te Akau Tuesday Trackwork

Te Akau track work highlights Tuesday 26 April - fog prevented timing of some sectionals -

Course proper (Dead):

Windborne (Lammas) and Xtravagant (Cameron) galloped over 1000m in preparation for the $70,000 Cambridge Breeders' Stakes (Gr. 3, 1200m) on Saturday at Te Rapa. Although fog prevented timing, they were seen to work very well through the line. Both riders were pleased and they each pulled up fine.

Echezeaux (M. Grylls) and Our Abbadean (K. Jones) worked well together over 1200m. Last start winners: Echezeaux (Encosta De Lago) contests the $22,500 Rating 75 2100m on Saturday at Hastings, and Our Abbadean (Lookin at Lucky) the $20,000 3YO 1600 metres at Te Rapa.

Plough:

Tatters (Miller) and Vinevale (K. Jones) galloped over 1200m in 1:18.2, last 600m in 35.9, which was good work by the pair. Both recent winners, Tatters (Tavistock) and Vinevale (Flying Spur) are scheduled for the $22,500 Rating 75 1400 metres on Saturday at Hastings.

Plough, three-quarter pace:

I See Fire (Cameron) worked over a mile, last 1200m in 1:28 and final 600m in 44. Highly Likely (Lammas) did similar work, last 1200m in 1:30 and 600m in 45.

Grazia (Leveque) ran 1000m in 1:13, last 600m in 43. Fastnet Fire (Cameron) went 1000m in 1:14, last 600m in 44.
