Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 10 May -


Plough:


Chambord (Leveque) and Vinevale (Lammas) galloped 1200m in 1:15.3, last 600m 36.5. Continuing to race very well, Chambord (Zabeel) contests the $30,000 Open 1800m on Saturday at New Plymouth and Vinevale (Flying Spur) will be strongly supported at the same meeting in the $22,500 Rating 75 1600m.


Shillelagh (Lammas) and Tatters (Coleman) covered 1000m in 1:02, last 600m in 35.3. Top mare Shillelagh (Savabeel) resumes in the $25,000 Rating 85 1200m at New Plymouth and recent course winner Tatters (Tavistock) contests the $25,000 Rating 75 1400m on Saturday at Rotorua. They were tracked along in their work by Flirty Gertey (K. Jones) and all three worked very well.


Grandeur (Richards) and Rocksun (Ritchie) went an easy 1000m in 1:10, last 600m in 42.2. Grandeur (O'Reilly) makes his debut in the Maiden 1400m on Thursday at Otaki and Rocksun (Fastnet Rock) contests the Maiden 1600m.


Last start winner Highly Likely (Miller) worked over ground in preparation for the $20,000 Rating 65 Jumpers flat 2200m on Saturday at Rotorua, running the last 1200m in 1:24 and final 600m in 40.


Plough, three-quarter pace:


Its Our Showtime (K. Jones) worked beautifully over 1000m in 1:14.3, last 600m in 42.4. Its Our Showtime (Showcasing) races on Thursday at Otaki, in the Maiden 3YO 1200m. Contesting the same race, Niamh Elizabeth (Leveque) did similar work.


Esprit De Corps (Miller) went 1000m in 1:15.4, last 600m in 43, looking good in preparation for the Maiden 1600m at Otaki.


Beacon of Hope (Miller) went 800m in 58, last 600m in 43. Opulent (C. Grylls) enjoyed her work over 800m in 57, last 600m in 42.


Christine Louise (K. Jones) and Zavistic (Ritchie) went 1000m in 1:15. Christine Louise (O'Reilly) resumes on Thursday in the Maiden 3YO 1200m at Otaki.
