Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 24 May -

Course proper (Heavy):

Esprit De Corps (Lammas) and Rocksun (Ritchie) ran 1000m in 1:14, last 600m in 43.2, handling the footing okay. Both are scheduled to race on Sunday at Hawera: Esprit De Corps (Bel Esprit) in the Maiden 1400 metres and recent winner Rocksun (Fastnet Rock) in the Rating 65 1400 metres.

Sand track, three-quarter pace:

Preparing to race on Thursday at Otaki, Interstellar (K. Jones) and I See Fire (Miller) worked over 1000m in 1:16, last 600m in 45, followed in turn by Tatters (Leveque). Fresh up winner Interstellar (Shamoline Warrior) is scheduled for the Rating 75 1400 metres and I See Fire (Encosta De Lago) the Maiden 1600 metres.

Last start winner Royal Success (Richards) went 1200m, last 600m in 45.5, ahead of the Rating 65 1600 metres at Otaki.

Herschal (Miller) ran 1000m solo. Cabaret (Leveque) and Ebony Star (Fawcett) went together over 800m.
