Te Akau Tuesday Trackwork

Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 7 June -

Course proper (Slow):

Chadsdale (Lammas) and Windborne (M. Grylls) galloped 1000m in 1:06.8, last 600m in 39.5. Both horses are gearing up for the Rating 75 1200 metres on Saturday at Te Rapa.

Royal Success (Miller) worked over 1200m in 1:21.2, last 600m in 39.7. Following consecutive wins he contests the Rating 75 1600 metres at Te Rapa.

Preparing for the 2YO 1200 metres at Te Rapa, Zavistic (Ritchie) and Zip Zap (McCulloch) ran 1000m in 1:10.6, last 600m in 40.8.

Sand track, three-quarter pace:

Niamh Elizabeth (Hanafi) went 1000m in 1:18, last 600m in 42.8, travelling keenly ahead of racing on Thursday at New Plymouth.

2 g Alamosa - Danewhisper (Pinn) and 2 g Duporth - All Our Chips (Shailer) ran 800m in 1:02, last 600m in 45. They were followed by 2 g Darci Brahma - Amaryllis (Ritchie). All three are preparing to trial next Tuesday 14 June at Avondale.

Bobtail (Hanafi) and Sensitive Smile (Lammas) went 1000m. They ran the 800m 1:00, last 600m in 45, both two-year-olds looking good and ready to race on 15 June at Te Teko.

Riccarton:

Grass track (Slow):

Last start winner Hushed (Didham) went 1200m at three-quarter pace in preparation for the Rating 75 2000 metres on Friday at Riccarton. Our Drahma Queen (Didham) did similar work ahead of the Rating 65 1600 metres.

Resuming on Friday over 1200 metres at Riccarton, Love Actually (Didham) quickened up in the straight off 1000m at three-quarter pace.

Last start winner Flirty Gertey (Didham) worked well over 1000m. She races in the Rating 90 1200 metres on Sunday at Oamaru.
