Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 21 June -
No.2 Sand, three quarter pace:
Tavis Star (Miller) covered 1000 metres in 1.16, last 600 in 46. Splurge (McNab) seemed in good order while preparing for Otaki on Friday, working over 1000 metres in 1.10, final 600 in 41. Niamh Elizabeth (Lammas) worked well over 1000 metres in 1.15, last 600 in 44.9, she heads to Rotorua next Wednesday for the Maiden 1230 metre race.
1f Burgundy - Aventura (K. Price) and 1f Fastnet Rock - Tavarnelle (Fawcett) worked at half pace up the straight, as they began to pick up the paces in their first educational preparation at the stables.
