Course Proper:


Last start winner Spritz (Fawcett) and Gardenier (Lammas) prepared for Avondale on Friday, working over 1200 metres in 1.28, last 600 in 40.6.


Tavis Star (K. Jones) galloped on her own over 1200 metres in 1.27.5, last 600 40.6. She will return to Te Rapa on Saturday for the Rating 65 1400 metre event following her last start fourth there two weeks ago.


GALLOP FEEDBACK


No.2 Sand:


Avondale prospect Latin Rose (Lammas) worked 1000 metres in 1.07.5, last 600 in 39. She will run in the Rating 75 1200 metre event on Friday with Matt Cameron to ride.


Opulent (Fawcett) galloped an easy 1200, she ran 1000 in 1.03.5, last 600 in 37.2, she appears well ahead of Te Rapa on Saturday where she will contest the Rating 75 1600 metre event.


Love Triangle (Fawcett) enjoyed her fast work this morning, going 800 metres in 59 with her ears pricked. Savabeel gelding Scrutinize (Noorman) went 800 metres in 57. Colorado Prince (Pinn) an Alamosa two-year-old and hal brother to stakes' winner Darci's Dream and Windborne, worked over 800 metres in 1.02, last 600 in 46.


Last starter winner at Matamata, Niamh Elizabeth (Leveque) covered 1000 metres in 1.14, final 600 in 44. She returns to Matamata next Wednesday, July 20 for a Rating 65 1200 metre race.


Xtravagant (K. Jones) completed his first piece of 3/4 pace work for his preparation, running 600 metres in 45. He is in fine order ahead of his Melbourne spring campaign. Group 1 and Listed winning, unbeaten 2YO Heroic Valour (Shailer) went an easy 800 metres in 1.04, last 600 in 46. He too, looks to be in fine order ahead of his 3YO spring campaign.


Vermair Racing owned King Kane (Noorman) worked 800 metres in 1.04, final 600 in 46. Ocean Rock (Pinn) went 800 metres in 59, 600 in 44 and Fastnet Rock gelding Bishop Rock (Noorman) covered 800 metres in 1.00, last 600 in 42.


Promising stakes' winning filly Sassy ‘N' Smart (K. Jones) worked in company with 2f Redwood - Volks Princess (Lammas) over 800 in 59, last 600 in 44.5, followed by 2f Rip Van Winkle - Bak Da Princess (Fawcett) who did similar work.


O'Know (Leveque) worked well with Our Abbedean (K. Jones) over 800 metres in 1.00, last 600 in 45.5. Iffraaj filly Red Poppy (Lammas) did her first piece of fast work for the preparation, covering 800 metres in 59.5, last 600 in 44.


O'Naturelle (Lammas) and Dame Margo Fonteyn (Fawcett) ran 800 metres in 1.03, home in 46.8. Pentire gelding Zambezi Warrior (Noorman) did similar work. Beaumarchais (Noorman) worked in behind Wide Awake (Shailer) over 1000 metres in 1.03, 600 in 46. All five horses look on the right track to trial at Te Teko on August 2.


All-weather track:


The son of Ethereal, Imperium (Shailer) covered 800 metres in 1.02, last 600 in 45. He is enjoying his work as he prepares for a trial at Te Teko on August 2.


Play For Time (Fawcett) worked with Lucy Wyldstyle (Lammas) over 600 metres in 46. Nucleonic (Fawcett) and 1f Smart Missile - Miss Helsinki (Lammas) also covered 600 metres in similar time.
