Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 9 August -

Flemington

NZ's newly crowned Champion 3YO for last season Xtravagant (D. Oliver) had his first piece of serious work since arriving in Melbourne. The Pentire horse worked over 800 metres in 51, last 600 in 37. Both rider Damien Oliver and co-trainer Stephen Autridge were pleased with the work and we can report he has pulled up well from the gallop.


Matamata

No. 2 Sand:

Apreggio (Fawcett) worked over 800 metres, covering her last 600 in 46. The Tavistock mare is one of a number horses heading to the Te Teko trials on August 25.

Echezeaux (M. Grylls) worked in company with an unnamed 3g Savabeel - Pins On Ice (McNab) over 800 metres in 58, last 600 in 44.

Zabeel gelding Amperage (M. Grylls - below right) together with 3g O'Reilly - Ethics (Fawcett - below left) worked over 800 metres in 58, last 600 in 43.

Leonessa (K. Price) and Primrose (Fawcett) ran 800 metres in 57, last 600 in 44.3.

Stan Painton owned Cabaret (Lammas) worked solo over 1000 metres in 1.18, last 600 in 44.5. She heads to Avondale on 17 August for a Rating 65 1200 metre race.

Affinee (R. Jones) and Stolen Love (Fawcett) worked over 800 metres in 58.4, last 600 in 43. Madam Jamai (Leveque) worked behind Lady Painton (Coleman) over 800 metres in 59.8, last 600 in 45.

Epic Tale (Lammas) ran 800 metres on his own in 58, last 600 in 44. The Snitzel gelding heads to Te Teko trials on August 25.

Shocking Luck (McNab) worked in company with 3g Alamosa - Fidelitas (Pinn) over 800 metres in 58.6, last 600 in 43. Silverdale (Shailer) followed working in similar time.

Gold Fever (M. Grylls) and Swing Note (Lammas) galloped over 600 metres in 41. Both fillies impressing our trainers and riders at this early stage of their career.

3g Pins - Santangelo (Leveque) and 3g Red Giant - Celtic Class (Lowry) ran 800 metres together in 58.1, 600 in 44.8.


All-weather:

2g Darci Brahma - Rihanna (M. Grylls) and 2g Burgundy - La Conga (Fawcett) covered 600 metres in 42.
