Abidewithme (Hercock) and Stanica Star (Dee) worked over 1200 metres in 1:16.7, last 600m in 36.1. Both are set to resume over 1400 metres on Saturday at Awapuni, or Tauranga, depending on track conditions.

Each finishing second at their previous starts, Jewels Gift (Dee) and Osmunda (Hercock) covered 1200 metres in 1:20.

Over 1000 metres, Show No Emotion (Miller) and 4 g Darci Brahma - Royal Rhythm (Lang) clocked 1:03, last 600 in 36.

Cajero (Miller) and Red on Black (Lang) worked nicely together in 1:18 for the 1200 metres, last 600m in 38.5.
