Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 23 August -

Flemington:

Xtravagant worked over 800 metres on the dirt track with his jockey Damien Oliver aboard. Damien reported the horse felt very well in his work as he heads to Moonee Valley for a gallop later in the week.

Matamata Course Proper:

O'Know (Lammas) followed Hall Of Fame (Cameron) and Our Abbadean (McNab) over 1000 metres, the trio ran the distance in 1.03.2. All three horses head to the races on Saturday, with Hall Of Fame (Savabeel) our sole nomination at Hastings and O'Know and Our Abbadean both head to Ruakaka with Michael McNab engaged to ride the pair.

No. 2 Sand:

Savabeel gelding Splurge (McNab) worked on his own over 800 metres in 54.1, sprinting home his last 600 in 38.5.

Sassy ‘N' Smart (M. Grylls), paired with Lucy Wyldstyle (Fawcett), worked over 800 metres in 56.6, running their last 600 in 42.

Discretely Red (K. Price) worked over 800 metres in 1.00.9, last 600 in 45. Madame Jamai (Leveque) looked to be enjoying her work over 800 metres as she prepares for the Te Teko trials on Thursday.

3f Redwood - Volks Princess (Cameron) with O'Reilly Star (Fawcett) covered 800 metres, timed from the 600 in 42.3.

Maleficient (Cameron), partnered with The Chaser (R. Cole), covered 800 metres in 58, last 600 in 44.

Unfazed (Leveque) worked alongside Epic Tale (Hillis) over 800 metres in 57.5, last 600 in 42.6.

Echezeaux (Lammas) ran 800 metres, with her last 600 in 43.2. Lady Painton (Cameron) covered 800 metres in 1.00, last 600 in 44.9. Affinee (Lammas) ran 800 metres at three-quarter pace in 59.7, coming home the last 600 in 44.6.

All-weather:

Imperium (Shailer) preparing for his second Te Teko trial on Thursday, worked over 800 metres in 59, last 600 in 43.3.
