Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 30 August -
No. 2 Sand:
Heroic Valour (McNab) ran 1000 metres in 1.16.5, last 600 in 45.7. The Fastnet Rock colt pleased the trainers and rider with his work as he prepares for next Saturday 10 September.
Corporate Missile (Cameron) paired with Cabaret (Lammas) worked over 1000 metres in 1.14.8, last 600 in 44.1. Both fillies head to Matamata next Wednesday 7 September - Corporate Missile (Smart Missile) runs in the Maiden 1200 metres & Cabaret (Showcasing) in the Rating 65 1200 metres.
Abidewithme (M. Grylls) had her first piece of three-quarter pace work this morning, working over 800 metres in 1.01, last 600 in 46. Princess Davone (R. Cole) covered 800 metres in 59, last 600 in 44. Vive La Difference (Leveque) worked over 800 metres in 1.02, last 600 in 45. Fastnet Fire (K. Price) ran 800 in 59.2, last 600 in 43.5
Pure Savalina (Leveque) worked with Kiusan (Lammas) over 800 metres, they covered their last 600 in 44.3. Maleficent (Fawcett) followed the pair in similar time.
Rocksun (McNab) was followed by Splurge (Shailer) over 800 metres, the pair went similar time covering their last 600 in 44.8.
The Chaser (R. Jones) worked alongside 3f Redoute's Choice - Scarlett Lady (Fawcett) over 800 metres in 59, last 600 in 43.5. Madam Monica (K. Price) with Sylvia's Special (Hillis) were followed by Exhibition (McNab) over 800 metres in 58.8, coming home in 43.8.
English Rose (Cameron) was partnered with 2f Burgundy - Squall (R. Jones) over 600 metres. The pair ran the distance in 46.2. Both the two-year-old were having their first run along this preparation as they prepare for the Avondale trials on 20 September.
