Te Akau Tuesday Trackwork

Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 18 April

*Early fog prevented some times

Course Proper:

Lady Pinot (Miller) travelled over 800 metres in 53. She worked well by herself and is targeting the Rating 65 1000 metre event at Trentham this Saturday.

Poppin' Bubbles (McNab) and Embellish (Bosson) worked nicely together over 1000 metres. Poppin' Bubbles worked very well while Embellish would have preferred better track conditions.

 

All Weather:

2f Commands - Donna Sienna (McNab) worked very well with Meteoric Lass (Bosson) over an easy 600 metres. They both are being prepared for the Taupo trials on Monday 24 April.

2f Bernadini - Eternal Path (Fawcett) and 2f Burgundy - Ensorcelez (Leveque) worked well together over 600 metres in 43.

Leonessa (K Price) looked very keen when working solo over an easy 800 metres.


No2. Sand:

Griffin (Tan) and English Rose (R Cole) travelled over 800 metres in 1.11, running their last 600 in 46. Both looked to produce some nice work.

Colorado Prince (Fawcett) looked very good when working solo over an easy 1000 metres.

Silverdale (Miller) and Jet Set (Pinn) worked an easy 800 metres in 54, last 600 in 38.8.   Co-trainer Stephen Autridge was very happy with both horses.

Foreigner (Miller) worked with a companion over 1000 metres in 1.02, last 600 in 36. Foreigner worked very well and is targeting the 3YO 1400m at Ellerslie on Saturday.

Zambezi Warrior (McNab) and Shocking Luck (Bosson) worked together over 1000 metres in 1.07.05, last 600 in 38. They were followed by Lucy Wyldstyle (Pinn), who ran similar time.

Bishop Rock (Pinn) worked 1000 metres in 1.06, last 600 in 40. They were followed by 2g Ocean Park - Queen Rania (Miller), working similar time.

Piper (Bosson) and Smoke House Bay (McNab) travelled over 1000 metres in 1.09, last 600 in 39.5. Smoke House Bay has been nominated for the Rating 65 1400 metre event at Woodville on Thursday.

Tavis Star (Fawcett) worked over 800 metres at three quarter pace and looked very keen in her work.

Gardenier (McNab) paired up with Tatters (Bosson) to run 1000 metres in 1.03, running the last 600 in 37.7, They ran keenly in the early stages but both horses worked well

Hall Of Fame (McNab) and Heroic Valour (Bosson) looked very good when working over 1000 metres in 1.03.15, last 600 in 36.

Splurge (Miller) worked solo over 1000 metres, running the last 600 in 37. He worked well and did have a little blow afterwards.

Jimmy Rea (Leveque) strode out over 800 metres in 58, running his last 600 in 42.

 

Royal Randwick:

Chance to Dance (Reith) galloped on the course proper with Waterhouse/Bott runner Stampede.  He clocked 1.23 for the 1200m, home the last 600 in 39.2 with raceday rider Christian Reith aboard as he prepares for the re-running of the Group 1 Sydney Cup on Saturday.  Rider Reith and co-trainer Jamie Richards were very happy with his work.
