Course proper (Dead):

Bronte Lass (Cameron) and King Savinsky (Hercock) prepared for weekend assignments when working over 1400 metres. They clocked the 1200m in 1:20.5 and home in 37.7 for the final 600m. Bronte Lass contests the Benchmark 85 1600 metres on Waikato Cup Day, Dec. 14, at Te Rapa, and King Savinsky tackles the Championship Stakes Prelude (Listed, 2100m) on Sunday Dec. 15 at Ellerslie.

Sand track:

Gearing up to race on Friday at Tauranga, Merrily (Hercock) and Tiara (Cameron) worked over 1200 metres in 1:21.6, last 600m in 37.6. For the same meeting, Osmunda (Cameron) and Ruthless Lady (Hercock), who has a few options this weekend, came in from the 1400 metres to record 1:21.2 for the 1200m and 38.5.

Riverenza (Hercock) and 4 g Faltaat - Ally McBeal (Cameron) worked over 1400 metres and covered the 1200m in 1:21.5, last 600m in 39.

Earmarked to trial on Dec. 17 at Te Aroha, My Fiancée (Cameron but pictured on Saturday) and Persia (Lang) went 1:07 for the 1000 metres and last 600m in 39, with The Musician (Hercock) and 4 g Darci Brahma - Royal Rhythm (Cameron) doing similar work in 1:07.6, last 600m in 38.4.

Three-quarter pace:

Sovereign Rose (Lang) prepared for the Benchmark 85 2100 metres on Thursday, Dec. 12, at Hastings, going over 800 metres. 3 f More than Ready - Insouciant (Cameron) and 3 g Sir Percy - Dutyful (Hercock) went 800m. Recent fresh-up winner Show No Emotion (Lang) worked over 1000 metres.  

Last start winner Stanica Star (Herock) worked over 1000 metres, as did talented mare Precious Time (Myers). Freshened since winning and now being readied to race on Boxing Day at Ellerslie, stakes winning mare Abidewithme (Hercock) worked over 1000m.
