Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday 30 January -
Plough:
Gris Dame (Tan) looked good working at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.30, last 600 in 44. Beau Geste (K Price) also worked over 1200 metres, running very similar times.
Gardenier (Newman) and Handsome Rebel (Bakar) galloped nicely together over 1000 metres in 1.03, last 600 in 37.
The Chaser (D Miller) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 59.3, last 600 in 45. Pacific Coast (Alam) also worked along nicely over 800 metres, running similar times.
Preparing for the Maiden 2000 metres at Hastings this Thursday, Silver Missile (Tan) worked over 1200 metres in 1.25, home in 40.5.
Griffin (Newman) and Mongolianconqueror (Bakar) galloped over 1200 metres in 1.18, last 600 in 36.8. Both horses build toward the $100,000 Group 2 Waikato Guineas at Te Rapa on 6 February.
Willpower (Burdan) and In A Twinkling (Alam) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 1.02, home in 43.
Pop Diva (Pinn) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.15, last 600 in 44.5. Abbey Kay (Lammas) also worked solo over 1000 metres, running similar times.
Building toward racing at New Plymouth this Saturday, Grazia (Lammas) and Scrutinize(Miller) paired up to gallop 1200 metres in 1.22, last 600 in 36.9.
Scarlet Princess (K Price) galloped 1200 metres in 1.20, last 600 in 37.6. Scarlet Princess remains in track for the Rating 65 1600 metres at Matamata on Friday.
Lillet Rose (D Miller) and Unfazed (K Price) paired up to work at three quarter pace over 1200 metres in 1.26, running home in 40. Both horses are readying to race at Hastings this Thursday.
Also readying for Hastings this Thursday, Zavistic (Burdan) galloped nicely over 1000 metres in 1.07, home in 40.
Beaumarchais (Bakar) worked on his own over an easy 1200 metres in 1.24, last 600 in 39.
2g Alamosa - Broadway Express (Alam) worked at three quarter pace over 600 metres in 44. Fabulous Flight (Burdan) and 2g Darci Brahma - Josephines Fortune (Alam) also worked at three quarter pace, running the last 600 in 44.5.
Paulownia (K Price) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 1.01, last 600 in 45.
Inheritance (Lammas) and Together (D Miller) galloped side by side over an easy 600 metres in 39.6.
Heroic Valour (Bakar) worked nicely at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 59, last 600 in 45. Heroic Valour continues to build toward the $200,000 Group 1 BCD Group Sprint at Te Rapa on 10 February.
Encore Encore (Pinn) travelled in company, working at three quarter pace over 600 metres 42.5.
