Te Akau trackwork highlights - Tuesday 3 July -
Foggy conditions
Course proper (Heavy):
Bojangles (P. Richards) galloped in company over 1200 metres (not timed in fog), but worked well. A winner first up for the stable in April, Bojangles is nominated for the Rating 65 2100 metres on Saturday at Te Rapa, with Chris Johnson aboard.
Sand track:
Age of Fire (D. Miller) and Summer Monsoon (D. Tan) went a nice, easy 800m in the fog and looked well once coming through it.
Te Akau Shark (D. Miller) went an easy 800m and the rider reported he enjoyed his work.
Gris Dame (D. Tan) did similar work and shows to be coming up nicely in this preparation.
Melody Belle (D. Miller) and Queen Of The Air (S. Rusof) went an easy 800m and came out of the fog looking good.
Dontblamethemusic (D. Tan) and Jet Set (J. Stan) worked at three-quarter pace over 800m.
Dublin Rose (S. Rusof) went an easy 800m and she looked good late in the piece.
King Kane (D. Miller) looked really good at the end of his work over 800m.
Spirit of Galway (S. Rusof) and Swing Note (D. Miller) went together over 800m in easy work.
The Real Beel (S. Rusof) looked well in her work over 800m at three-quarter pace.
All-weather track:
Bak Da Master (J. Stan) worked at three-quarter pace, running home in 45 for the last 600m.
So You Said (C. Burdan) went 600m at three-quarter pace and was positive in his work.
Twilight Zone (J. Stan) also looked strong when doing the same work over 600m, as too did 2g Jakkalberry - Red Alert (N. Bakar).
2f O'Reilly - Savabeel Star (D. Tan) and Shezathinka (J. Stan) went three-quarter pace over 600m.
