Aspen (Hercock) worked in company over 1400 metres, clocking 1:16.3 for the 1200 metres and the final 600m in 36.1. Third in the Levin Classic (Gr. 1, 1600m) at his previous start, the three-year-old by Alamosa (O'Reilly) lines up on Saturday, Feb. 8, in the weight-for-age Herbie Dyke Stakes (Gr. 1, 2000m) at Te Rapa.

Third in the 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) and a last start winner of the Karaka 3YO Mile (Listed, 1600m), Spellbinder (Hercock) worked with the promising filly Speeding (Misbah) over 1400 metres, 1:20 for the 1200m, last 600m in 36.7. Spellbinder steps up in distance to contest the Sir Tristram Fillies Classic (Gr. 2, 2000m) on Saturday at Te Rapa, and Speeding (Volksraad) is scheduled to run 2100 metres on Sunday, Feb. 9, at Pukekohe.

Thy (Hercock) and Wolfwhistle (Misbah) galloped over 1000 metres in 1:03.2, last 600m in 36.1. Rockfast (Misbah - pictured below) and 4 g Scardee Cat - Avgenia (Hercock) clocked similar in 1:03.3 and 36. Cold Snap (Misbah) went over 800 metres in 54, last 600m in 39.8. Flying Solo (Miller) and 3 f Darci Brahma - Peta's Girl (Misbah) went 51.3 and 37.3 for the same trip. La Adelita (Hercock) and Sneaky Feelings (Misbah) worked over 1000 metres in 1:03.8, last 600m in 36.1 - they are pictured above.
