Te Akau track work highlights – Tuesday 12 March

Plough:

Group 1 NZ Oaks race rivals, Savy Yong Blonk (M McNab) and Shezathinka (A Jones) galloped nicely over 1200 metres in 1.18.2, last 600 in 36. 

Oceans Eight (R Hutchings) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres, last 600 in 44.

Festivity (J Bragg) was followed by Blitzabeel (J Kamaruddin) when working at three quarter pace over 800 metres, home in 45.

Military Step (M McNab) and Golden Age (D Miller) galloped over 1000 metres in 1.05.1, last 600 in 36.7. Military Step builds toward racing at Woodville on Sunday, while Golden Age is on track to race at Te Aroha on Friday.

Readying to race at Te Aroha and Woodville, Witchery (A Jones) Lord High Spirit (R Hutchings) galloped over 1200 metres in 1.21, last 600 in 38.2.

Sasso Corbaro (D Miller) galloped nicely over 1000 metres in 1.08.9, last 600 in 39. Sasso Corbaro’s next target is the Listed Lighting Handicap at Trentham on Saturday.

In single file:  2f Savabeel – Banchee (J Kamaruddin), Puysegur (J Bragg), Our Flying Ace (N Bakar) and Pacific Coast (D Montes de Oca) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres, last 600 in 45.

Enduring Love (C Grylls) looked good working on her own at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.15, last 600 in 44.

Preparing to race at Woodville on Sunday, Te Akau Dragon (M McNab) and companion K(E McCall) galloped over 1200 metres in 1.19.7, last 600 in 37.

Also readying to race at Woodville, Dublin Rose (A Jones) and Al Haram (R Hutchings) galloped over 1000 metres in 1.08, last 600 in 38.5.

English Rose (J Bragg) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.18, final 600 in 46.

Qian Gua (N Bakar) galloped on his own over an easy 800 metres, running the last 600 in 41.

Kingsguard (M McNab) worked nicely at three quarter pace over 1000 metres, home in 45.

Scottish Star (A Jones) was followed by Firebrand (S McKay) when working at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.16, home in 45.4.

Equinox (D Miller) and Princess Kereru (M Donoghue) looked good galloping over 1000 metres in 1.06.3, last 600 in 37.5. After being scratched form the Group 1 Sistema Stakes on Saturday due to heavy track conditions, Equinox now aims toward the 2YO event at Trentham on Saturday.

Twilight Zone (C Leveque) worked nicely at three quarter pace over 800 metres, running the last 600 in 44. He was followed by Ritzy Sparkle (M Grylls) who ran home in very similar time.

Mistletoe (D Montes de Oca), Shebringsmerubies (R Alam) and Beau Geste (D Miller) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.16, last 600 in 44.

2f Reliable Man – Scene Queen (C Cole) worked along nicely at three quarter pace over 600 metres in 46.


All Weather:

Ronaldo’s Dream (R Hutchings) and Jack The Ripper (D Montes de Oca) paired up to work at three quarter pace over 600 metres in 46.
