Te Akau trackwork highlights – Tuesday 10 September –
Course Proper: reverse direction
Richard Of Yorke (S Weatherley) galloped over 1200 metres in 1.24.5, last 200 in 12.9 . He was followed by Al Haram (J Kamaruddin) who also galloped over 1200 metres in 1.25.4, home in 13.4. Both horses worked nicely and aim toward racing at Awapuni on Saturday.
Readying to race in the $70,000 Group 3 Cambridge Stud Northland Breeders Stakes at Ruakaka on Saturday, Aotea Lad (O Bosson) galloped in company over 1000 metres, home in 39.8.
Also preparing to race at Awapuni on Saturday, Meteoric Lass (T Harris) and Remington (C Grylls) paired up to gallop over 1000 metres, last 400 in 39.6.
Scott Base (C Burdan) had his first piece of three quarter pace work this morning, running the last 600 in 46.
Shebringsmerubies (D Montes de Oca) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.18, last 600 in 46.
Aromatic (M Grylls) worked nicely at three quarter pace over 800 metres, home in 45.1.
Ristretto (M Roustoby) looked good galloping over an easy 1000 metres, last 600 in 40.
Savy Yong Blonk (T Harris) and Ritzy Sparkle (J Kamaruddin) galloped over 1000 metres in 1.05, final 600 in 36.5.
Mazzuro (O Bosson) and Bak Da Master (M McNab) paired up to gallop over 1200 metres in 1.16, last 600 in 37.
Markus Aurelius (R Cole), Blinder (M Roustoby), She’s Not Bad (J Kamaruddin) and High Achiever (M Grylls) worked nicely on their own at three quarter pace over 800 metres, running similar times of 1 minute, last 600 in 45.
Scottish Star (C Grylls) and Ronaldo’s Dream (O Bosson) galloped over 1000 metres in 1.04. final 600 in 36.5. They were followed by Duck Road (M McNab) who ran similar times.
Lightning Field (D Montes de Oca) and 3f Rock ‘n’ Pop – Primo Quest (M Roustoby) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres, last 600 in 44.5.
Te Akau Dragon (M McNab) and Super Sid (O Bosson) worked (separately) at three quarter pace over 1000 metres, last 600 in 45.5.
Diamond Dream (T Harris) worked at three quarter pace over 800 metres in 58.
