Course Proper:
Mai Tai (M Roustoby) was followed by Combat Queen ( D Johnson) when galloping over 1000 metres, home in 37.6. Mai Tai aims for the Rating 65 1400 metres at Te Rapa on Saturday, while Combat Queen readies to race in the Rating 74 1400 metres at Tauranga on Friday.
Sword Of State (O Bosson) and Medal (T Harris) looked good galloping over 1000 metres, last 600 in 37.2. Both horses prepare for the 2YO 1200 metres at Te Rapa on Saturday.
Cool Aza Beel (O Bosson) galloped on his own over an easy 800 metres, last 600 in 39.5.
Plough:
Confectionery (D Montes de Oca) galloped over an easy 800 metres in 54.3, last 600 in 40.8.
Reiko (H Durrant) worked at three quarter pace over 1000 metres in 1.16, home in 46.
