Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday June 24

Sand track:

Preparing to race on Saturday at Ruakaka, Resonance (Hercock) went 1000 metres in 1:05.9, last 600m 38.2. Third over 1400 metres at the last meeting there, it is anticipated that Resonance (Darci Brahma) will appreciate more distance in the Maiden 1600m.

All Decked Out (Miller) worked over 800 metres at three-quarter pace. Chambord (Hazlett) worked at half pace on his second round, as did Spellbinder (Ellis) and Wolfwhistle (Misbah).

Course proper (Heavy):

3 g Ekraar - Cape Win (Miller) and 3 g King's Chapel - Sea Rhythm (Misbah) covered 1000 metres in 1:10.2, last 600m in 40.2.

Sneaky Feelings (Hercock) worked over ground, picking up Enhance (Cameron - pictured recently) through the run to cover their last 1000 metres together in 1:11.1 and 40.5 for the 600m. Both winners on the home track at Matamata, Enhance (Saperavi) is eyeing engagements either on Saturday at Hastings, or next Monday June 30 at Matamata, while Sneaky Feelings (High Chaparral), a close fourth last time out over a mile at the local meeting, will step up to 2000 metres.

Quintette (Hercock) went 1000 metres in 1:10.5, last 600m in 40.7.
