Te Akau track work Tuesday July 23
On the sand:
Gunsmoke (Richards) worked over 800m and finished his last 600m in 39, Alert (Stack) also galloped over 800m with a final 600m in 40.5, Thrive (Miller) galloped 1200m three-quarter pace her second round. Working over 800m at three-quarter pace were Peerage (Demir), Rapid Gain (Stack) and Cold Snap (Miller). Precious Time (Richards) had her first run along over 600m. Secret Whisper (Miller) galloped 1000m alone at three-quarter pace as did Sunset Pass (Miller).
On the 2 year old grass:
Hardcore Rock (Miller) and Aspen (Stack) ran 800m in 52.0 and the last 600m in 37.8. Spellbinder (Miller) and Alchemy's Flight (Stack) worked 800m at three-quarter pace.
On the course proper rated Slow:
King's Rock (Miller) and Rise N Shine (Richards) paired up over 800m and were timed in 39.9 for the last 600m. Wolfwhistle (Stack) went with Longbeach (Miller), also over 800m and finished in 39.8.
