Te Akau Tuesday Trackwork

Te Akau track work highlights -  Tuesday July 29 -

Course proper (Slow):

King's Rock (Miller) and Wolfwhistle (Allen) worked over 1200 metres in 1:23.4 and 38.8 for the last 600m. Alchemy's Flight (Miller) and Sir Darci (Hercock) went over 1000 metres in 1:07.3, last 600m in 38.7. These horses are amongst a team of about 30 that are scheduled to step out at the first trial meeting for the new season next Tuesday, Aug. 5, at Te Teko.

Sand track:

Jewels Gift (Hercock) and Osmunda (Richards) were paired together over 1000 metres in 1:10.3, last 600m in 38.8.

Two-year-old grass track (Slow):

Atua (Miller - main picture left) and Darci's Dream (Hercock - main picture right) galloped over 800 metres in 52.9, last 600m in 37.7. Completing similar work: Tricoteuse (Hercock) and Vive La Difference (Samuelsson) went 800m in 54.2, last 600m 37.6, Irish Mystic (Roff), Scandinavian (Miller) and Sequitur (Richards) worked as a trio over 800m 56.2, 600m 37.8, Bettorock (Samuelsson) and Flaming (Hercock) 800m 53.8, 600m 38.1. Opulent (Myers) and Smashing (Miller) 800m 51.1, 600m 37.1, Light Source (Hercock) and Virtuous (Samuelsson) 800m 53.6, 600m 38.3, Frock (Roff) and Rock ‘N' Sox (Miller) 800m 52.8, 600m 37.9.

Three-quarter pace on the sand track:

Highly Likely (Miller) worked solo over 1000 metres. Spellbinder (Hercock) covered 800m solo, as did Equanimity (Miller), and My Fiancée (Hercock). Davey Ellis pace worked both Madame Jamai and Prince Henry.
