Te Akau track work - highlights -Tuesday August 19
Course proper (Slow9):
Bronte Lass (Cameron) and La Adelita (Myers) worked together over 1000 metres on 1:07.6, last 600m in 38.
Sand track:
Dreamer (Samuelsson) galloped 1000 metres in 1:04, last 600m in 36.8. Show No Emotion (Allen) worked over 1200m in 1:25.4, last 600m in 40.2. Flirty Gertey (Hercock) and Prince Henry (Miller) galloped 1000m in 1:08.5, last 600m in 39.1.
Rapid Gain (Hercock) and Sir Darci (Cameron) galloped 1000m in 1:06.5, last 600m in 38.5. Longbeach (Allen) and Osmunda (Roff) ran 1000m in 1:05.2, last 600m 37.3. Atua (Miller) and Smashing (Samuelsson) worked together over 1000m in 1:04.3, final 600m in 36.8. Alchemy's Flight (Allen) and Merrily (Hercock) went 1000m in 1:05.8, last 600m in 37.5.
Bordeaux (Richards) and Rockfast (Miller) went 1000m in 1:04.8, last 600m in 38.4. Sonsy (Samuelsson) and 3 f Savabeel - Mezaire (Allen) worked over 800m in 54, last 600m 39.5. Cathedral Cove (Miller) and Latin Rose (Cameron) galloped 800m in 53.9, last 600m in 39.6. Scandinavian (Miller) worked over 1000m in 1:07.1, last 600m in 39.
Bettorock (Samuelsson) and Irish Mystic (Cameron) went 1000m in 1:07.2, last 600m in 38.1. Clos De Tart (J. Price) and Quintette (K. Price) worked over 1000m in 1:07.5, last 600m in 38.5. Equanimity (Miller) and Virtuous (Hercock) galloped 1000m in 1:04, last 600m in 36.
Daniel Miller reported on some of his rides through the morning: “Rockfast went very well on better going this morning and had plenty in reserve. Atua relaxed nicely and gave the feel of a good horse. Equanimity was keen to get on with it but still felt very goodâ€.
Sunset Pass (Miller) gained his steeplechase ticket. “He did a couple of rounds, jumped the practice fences in the middle and moved on to jump three steeplechase fences around the back on the jumps course. He worked with a mate and schooled at three-quarter pace. He's a nice jumper and a big horse that is still developing. He's starting to get shoulders on him now and muscling up,†Miller said.
Three-quarter pace on the sand track:
Wolfwhistle (Allen) worked solo over 1400 metres. Costa Viva (Hercock) worked solo over 1000m. Flaming (Cameron) went 800m. Tricoteuse (Samuelsson) and Vive La Difference (Cameron) were paired over 800m. Enhance (Hercock) went 1000m. Maestro (Price) worked over 600m. Realize (Richards) and 3 f Encosta De Lago - Grand Echezeaux (Hercock) went together over 800m. Tiara (Allen) went 1000m. 3 f Mastercraftsman - Due Diligence (Richards) worked over 800m.
600 metres three-quarter pace on the two-year-old grass track:
Beacon of Hope (2 c Fastnet Rock - Randaroo) (Miller) and Rocksun (2 c Fastnet Rock - Beyond the Sunset) (Samuelsson) were paired over 600 metres. Splurge (2 c Savabeel - Splashing Out) (Richards), Unsurpassed (2 c Exceed and Excel - Alamantra) (Cameron) and 2 f Encosta De Lago - Love Diamonds (Roff) worked as a trio. Enshrine (2 f Minstrel Court - Pinstinct) (Cameron) and Special Memories (2 f Fastnet Rock - Memories of You) (Samuelsson).
All-weather track:
Auriol (K. Price) and Seline (J. Price) worked over 800 metres in 55.4, last 600m in 40.5.
