Course proper (Dead):

Abidewithme (Cameron) and Wolfwhistle (Hercock) worked over ground, ahead of their respective assignments on Saturday at Hastings. They clocked the 1200 metres in 1:17.7 and the final 600m in 37.8. Abidewithme (Redoute's Choice) contests the weight-for-age Livamol Spring Classic (Gr. 1, 2040m) and Wolfwhistle (O'Reilly) the Rating 75 2000 metres.

Also racing this weekend at Hastings, Rockfast (Cameron) and Sir Darci (Hercock) went 1200 metres in 1:19.2, 1000m in 1:05.1 and the final 600m in 37.8. Rockfast (Fastnet Rock) competes in the Hawkes Bay Guineas (Gr. 2, 1400m) and Sir Darci (Darci Brahma) the Rating 85 1200 metres.

Merrily (Lammas) and Vive La Difference (Cameron) covered 1200 metres in 1:17.9, 1000m 1:05.2 and the last 600m in 37. Merrily (O'Reilly) contests the Rating 65 1400 metres on Friday at Te Rapa and Vive La Difference (Choisir) the Special Conditions 1400 metres on Saturday at Hastings.

King's Rock (Cameron) worked over 1400 metres, covering 1200m in 1:28 and the last 600m in 42.3. Imperium (Allen) went 1000m in 1:07.5, last 600m in 40.1. Longbeach (Lammas) and Osmunda (Cameron) covered 1000m in 1:10.2, last 600m in 40.3. Both racing over a mile on Friday at Te Rapa: Longbeach (Fastnet Rock) in the Rating 65 and Osmunda (O'Reilly) the Rating 75.
