Te Akau trackwork highlights - Tuesday 7 October 2014 -

On a slow course proper:

Tiara (Hercock) galloped with Flaming (Cameron), setting off easily over 1200m in 1:23.7, 1:08 for the 1000m and came home nicely the final 600m in 39.4. Tiara is scheduled to run at her home meeting on Saturday while Flaming is preparing for the Ray Coupland Stakes (Listed) at Ashburton on 18 October.

Show No Emotion (Hercock - pictured above left) and Flirty Gertey (Cameron - above right) were timed over the same distance in 1:21.3 , 1:17.5 and 39.6 while Rapid Gain (Cameron) went with Longbeach (Hercock) in a time of 1:22, 1:06.6 and 38.6.

Imperium (Cameron) and  Clos de Tart (Hercock) handled the going as they ran 1:22.4, 1:07.5 and 39.3. Imperium is set to debut next week at Avondale and Clos de Tart is pencilled in to run at the same meeting.

On the sand:

Scandinavian (Hercock) went in company with Bordeaux (Cameron) over an easy 1200m in 1:22.14 and 38.4 the final 600m.

Madame Jamai (Hercock) covered 1000m in  1:07.4 and was doing her best work late to finish the 600m in 37.

On the two year old grass:

Windborne (Cameron - above left) and  Love Actually (Samuelsson - above right) stretched out over 600m in 37.7 as did Portia (Richards -below right) with Niamh Elizabeth (Roff - below left) in 39.7. Fine Choice (Hercock) with 2c O'Reilly -Suream (Cameron) and Xtravagant (Samuelsson) in the trail as they were timed in 39.8 over 600m.

At three-quarter pace on the sand:

Highly Likely (Cameron) covered 1400m while Smashing (Samuelsson) went 1000m.
