Te Akau track work highlights - Tuesday November 11 -
Riccarton:

Plough:

Ready for a tilt at the 1000 Guineas (Gr. 1, 1600m) on Saturday at Riccarton, Darci's Dream (Walsh) and Flaming (Morris) went through their paces in a final piece of lead up work. The pair worked together over 1400 metres 1:30.8, 1000m in 1:01.3 and last 600m in 35.4.

Preparing for the 3YO 1400 metres on Saturday at Tauranga, No Tricks (Cameron) and Smashing (Hercock) worked together over 1200 metres in 1:20.7, last 600m in 36. Each in terrific form: Smashing (Pins) was a last start winner over Champagne Rein (Captain Rio) in track record time (1:09.3) for 1200 metres at Rotorua, and No Tricks (Savabeel) followed an impressive win at Taupo with strong second on Oct. 25 at Ellerslie.

Resuming in the Rating 65 1300 metres at the same meeting, La Adelita (Hercock) covered 1200 metres in 1:21 and the final 600m in 37. La Adelita (High Chaparral) impressed winning on debut over 1400 metres in March at Matamata, and although destined to get over more ground she has shown to act fresh.

Davey Crockett (Hercock) and Sequitur (Cameron) worked together over 800 metres in 50.5, last 600m in 36.3.

3 g Henny Hughes (Cameron) and 3 g Saperavi - Eclectic Heights (Zainal) did similar work over 800m in 56.8 and 38 for the last 600m.

Frock (Samuelsson) and Light Source (Hercock) covered 800m in 54.8, last 600m in 41.   Astrid (Cameron) and Brochaine (Zainal) went 800m in 53 and the last 600m in 38.  Equanimity (Cameron) worked over 800m in 56.7, last 600m in 41.  Spritz (Zainal) and 2 f Fastnet Rock - Dragon's Tail (Cameron) covered 800m in 54.2, last 600m in 38.8.
