Abidewithme and Vive La Difference had a final hit out ahead of their Saturday assignments on the final day of the Wellington carnival. Working on a good plough, Abidewithme (Cameron) galloped with Vive La Difference (Hercock) over 1200m in 1:22 and came home the final 600m in 38.2. Abidewithme tackles the Group 1 Thorndon Mile while Vive La Difference lines up against her own age group in the Group 3 Desert Gold Stakes, also over 1600m.

Flaming (Hercock) and Osmunda (Roff) were timed over 1000m in 1:05.3 and 37.1 as were Equanimity (Cameron) and Sequitur (Hercock) in 1:07.1 and 39 the final 600m.

Rockfast (Miller) prepared for the Listed Karaka Mile for three year olds on Sunday at Ellerslie with striding work over 1400m, clocking the last 1200m in 1:27.8.

Galloping 800m on the plough: Rocksun (Miller) with Beacon of Hope (Roff) in 56.1 and 41.8, 2f Starcraft - Absolute Faith (Zainal) with 2g No Excuse Needed - Reputedly (Roff) in 57.4 and 42.3, 3g Savabeel - Fire Song (Miller) went solo in 53.3 and 39.2, Portia (Hercock) with 2f Saperavi - A La Votre (Roff) in 55.1 and 40.7, and Xtravagant (Hercock), Surreil (Roff) and More Than Fast (Miller) in 54.7 and 38.

Bronte Lass (Miller) galloped 1000m at three-quarter pace.
