Course proper (Dead5):

Abidewithme (Lammas) worked over 1200 metres in 1:19, 1000m in 1:05.3 and the last 600m in 35.4. Spellbinder (Cameron) went 1200m in 1:16.1, last 1:02.1 and final 600m in 35.2. They each worked against the rail. Abidewithme (Redoute's Choice) and Spellbinder (O'Reilly) have been nominated today for the New Zealand Thoroughbred Breeders' Stakes (Gr. 1, 1600m) on Saturday at Te Aroha.

Out 25 metres, Darci's Dream (Schistl) and Flaming (Hercock) worked together over 1200m in 1:21.6, 1000m in 1:06.2, and final 600m in 38.3. Smashing (Hercock) went 1200m in 1:20.7, 1000m in 1:05.7 and last 600m in 37.9. The trio are set to race at Te Aroha.

Scandinavian (Lammas) and Sonsy (Cameron) covered 1200m in 1:24.2, 1000m in 1:08 and last 600m in 38.6.

Opulent (Lammas) worked solo over 800m, Tiara (Hercock) 1200m, and Highly Likely (Lammas) 1200m.
